Description
Sean is a Senior Manager on EDF’s Energy Transition team, where he leads advocacy with companies and investors to accelerate the adoption and implementation of policies that reduce emissions from the oil and gas sector. His work focuses on advancing state and federal methane regulations and market solutions that support a lower-emissions energy system.
Background
Prior to joining EDF, Sean spent nearly nine years at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), where he worked across air quality policy, energy regulation, transportation and public health. As Energy Liaison, he coordinated the department’s response to and oversight of energy-related issues, collaborating across air, water, and waste programs with state, local, federal and tribal partners.
Earlier in his career, Sean worked in environmental and natural resources law at a private firm and through an environmental law clinic, with experience spanning the Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Clean Water Act and water resources law, including litigation, regulatory advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
Sean’s work is grounded in a collaborative approach to problem-solving and a commitment to protecting public health while advancing a responsible energy transition.
